What’s Included in a Full Service Landscape Maintenance Plan

What’s Included in a Full Service Landscape Maintenance Plan

When people compare landscape maintenance companies, the hardest part is that “full service” can mean almost anything. One company’s version is a weekly mow and not much else. Another’s is genuine year-round care for the whole property. If you don’t know what’s actually included, you can’t tell whether you’re comparing real plans or just comparing prices.

So here’s exactly what our Full Service plan covers, laid out plainly. It’s our flagship offering, and it’s built to keep a Portland-area property looking its best every month of the year.

The Visits

Full Service runs on a set schedule rather than a vague “we’ll come by” arrangement:

  • Weekly plan — 44 visits a year. Weekly from March through November, twice in December, and once each in January and February, matched to how the growing season actually moves here.
  • Bi-weekly plan — 24 visits a year, for properties that don’t need weekly attention.

Either way, the work is scaled to the season — heavier through the growing months, lighter in the slow ones — rather than the same rote visit year-round.

What Happens Across the Year

A Full Service plan is far more than mowing. Over the year it includes:

  • Mowing as needed — based on each lawn’s actual growth, not a rigid every-week cut whether it needs it or not.
  • Edging every two weeks, for clean, defined lines.
  • Five fertilizer applications — February, June, August, October, and December — timed to keep the lawn healthy and green through every season.
  • Moss treatment in April, once the wet season has mostly passed, which is the right window to knock back what built up over winter.
  • Two trimming cycles for shrubs and hedges, typically January and June, plus lighter touch-ups as needed so things stay neat year-round.
  • Bed and lawn weed control, handled as needed throughout the season rather than on a rigid schedule.
  • Debris cleanup every single visit — not occasionally, every time.
  • Perennial and bulb cutbacks at the right times so beds stay tidy and come back strong.

That’s the difference between real maintenance and a mow-and-blow visit: the property is cared for as a whole, all year.

How the Billing Works

One of the things clients tell us they appreciate most is the predictability. Full Service is billed as a flat monthly rate. We estimate the total maintenance a property needs for the entire year, then divide it by twelve — so your bill is the same in quiet February as it is in busy June. It makes budgeting simple and means no surprise charges landing in your heaviest-service months.

What’s Not Included

Being clear about this up front saves confusion later. Full Service covers shrubs and hedges, but tree trimming isn’t part of the plan — we offer that as a separate specialized service for trees up to roughly 20 feet, or taller ones reachable by lift. If you’ve got specific trees you’re concerned about, just ask and we’ll tell you straight what we can and can’t do.

Why It’s Built This Way

Our mission is to build lifelong relationships through honest, top-of-the-line workmanship and attention to detail — and a real maintenance plan is how that shows up week to week. We’re not a “blow and go” outfit; we run quiet electric blowers, clean up debris every visit, and care about how the property looks long after the truck pulls away. We’ve been doing it for Portland-area clients since 1997.
